Dear Resident,
As the Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside, I have a legal duty to ask local residents for their views before setting the policing element of Council Tax for the year ahead.
Your response will directly inform how the police budget for 2026/27 is set, including decisions that affect officer numbers, visible policing, victim support and community safety.
This consultation is a statutory requirement, but it is also a genuine opportunity for you to influence how local policing is funded and prioritised. Your views matter and will be taken into account before any decision is made.
